These are components for which either a detailed project document is presently being prepared, whose formulation calls for extensive consultations with all the participating agencies and stakeholders and is often financially supported through extra-budgetary resources, or the actual implementation is undergoing, including field activities, procurement of equipment, upgrading, strengthening and installation of new stations, establishment of regional database and information system and training activities.

Niger-HYCOS | Niger-HYCOS component was launched as a follow up to the achievements of AOC-HYCOS. The project aims at reinforcing the data observation and collection capacity and developing a hydrological information system of the NHSs of the nine countries involved. And of the Niger Basin Authority. A training component will strengthen the national capabilities to carry out and ensure the sustainability of the project achievements (more)
Niger-HYCOS | La composante Niger-HYCOS a été lancé au titre du suivi du projet AOC-HYCOS. Le projet vise à renforcer les structures d'observation et de collecte de données et à développer un système d'information hydrologique pur les SHN des neuf pays concernés et pour l'Autorité du Bassin du Niger. Volta-HYCOS | The project document for Volta-HYCOS has been prepared by WMO in cooperation with IRD as a follow up to the achievements of AOC-HYCOS. It aims at developing, in the Volta River basin the necessary regional framework, and the underlying technical infrastructure of data collection and management, for the exchange of information on the status of the resources, which represents the required basis for the institutional development. In consideration of the different hydrological conditions and national priorities, CARIB-HYCOS is being developed in the form of two components; one covering the continental countries and the other the islands states.
